TVS Motor April sales rise 24% to 295,308 units; exports increase 6%

   TVS Motor Company  has posted a 24 per cent growth in its sales to 295,308 units in April 2022, as compared with 238,983 units in April 2021. In the two-wheeler segment, its sales grew by 24 per cent from 226,193 units in April 2021 to 280,022 units in April 2022. During the month, domestic two-wheeler sales grew by 37 per cent to 180,533 units as against 131,386 units during the same month last fiscal. Motorcycle sales  grew by 4 per cent, from 133,227 units in April 2021 to 139,027 units in April 2022. Scooter sales also grew by 57 per cent, from 65,213 units in April 2021 to 102,209 units in April 2022. “The shortage in the supply of semiconductors has impacted the production and sales of premium two-wheelers. Tata Motors offers easy financing option, special benefits for doctors

Tata Motors  on Monday announced a package of offers for safe and convenient personal mobility with easy financing, to help maintain social distancing norms amid the nationwide lockdown. Under the package, with features such as affordable EMIs with long-tenure loans and special offers for frontline warriors, customers can drive home the entry-level model Tiago with customised EMI plan starting at just Rs 5,000 every month (for a loan of Rs 5 lakh) for six months. This EMI amount then gradually increases over a maximum tenure of five years, the company said. Also, on its entire range of cars and sports utility vehicles, the company is offering 100 per cent on-road funding,  Tata Motors  said in a release. As an additional benefit, customers can choose from three value-adding options while paying their final EMI, the company said.

Ashok Leyland to resume operations at Alwar, Bhandara, Pantnagar plants

Ashok Leyland  on Tuesday said it had received permissions to resume operations at Alwar, Bhandara and Pantnagar plants, but will restart production in line with demand after preparing supply chain. The firm has received permission from authorities to resume operations of plants at Alwar, Bhandara and Pantnagar,  Ashok Leyland  President-HR, Communication and CSR N V Balachandar said in a statement. ALSO READ:  Large stimulus critical for re-starting economic engine: MD, Ashok Leyland "We are currently working out the supply chain readiness post which we will resume operations and commence production in line with demand," he added.
