iPhone 12 may arrive in October, Apple Watch and iPad in September

   Apple  is reportedly planning to hold its  iPhone  12 event in the second week of October, with pre-orders to take place later that week and shipments to start the week after that. In a recent tweet, Jon Prosser, a reliable  Apple  insider said that the  iPhone  maker may hold an event on Tuesday (October 13) and would accept pre-orders for new  iPhone  12 models from October 16, and will deliver the new devices starting on October 23.  While the iPhone 12 models will ship in October, Prosser claimed the iPhone 12 Pro models will not be available until an unspecified date in November. In addition, Prosser also said that  Apple  will release the Watch Series 6 and an unspecified new  iPad  during the week of September 7. Realme launches new colour variants for three smartphones in India

   Realme  on Friday introduced three new colour variants for its three popular  smartphones  in India. It includes 'chroma white' colour for  Realme  5 pro, 'volcano grey' colour for C3 and 'lightening red' colour for 6 pro. The  smartphones  in new colour variants will be available on  realme. com and Flipkart, the company said in a statement. Realme 5 Pro's price starts at Rs 13,999 for the 4GB RAM/64GB storage variant. The 6GB RAM/64GB storage variant is priced at Rs 14,999 while the 8GB RAM/ 128GB storage variant will cost Rs 16,999. The smartphone sports a 6.3-inch full-HD+ display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3+ for protection. The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 SoC, paired with 4GB, 6GB, or 8GB of RAM depending on the variant and runs on ColorOS 6 based on Android 9 Pie. Read Complete Article

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 may have a smaller price tag than the Note 10

South Korean tech giant  Samsung  is all set to host a virtual event on August 5 to launch the new Galaxy Note 20 series, and a new report suggests it will be priced lower than the Galaxy Note 10 devices. The smartphone manufacturer is said to launch the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra at a lower price this year due to the reduction in smartphone demand and sales because of Covid-19, reports South Korean publication Naver.  The Galaxy Note 10 was l aunched at Rs 78,300 while its successor Note 20 may retail at nearly Rs 75,200). However, this pricing is for the Korean market and currently, it is not clear if the same will be applied to the global markets as well. Ahead of the launch, some specifications of the Galaxy Note 20 series surfaced online. Chinese electronics maker  OnePlus  took to its official Weibo account to tease something new which is coming on March 18 and now CEO Pete Lau has shared that it will be the unveiling of a new brand logo. On the first look, the new logo is almost identical to the original one, but this time the company is changing the brand's colour from Red to Black which is evident from the new logo that now has Black colour, 9To5Google reported on Monday. Also, the typeface for the number "1" has also been changed and now the company is also adding its "OnePlus" branding below the logo. Xiaomi to bring ISRO technology NavIC to smartphones in 2020

Smartphone and smart TV brand Xiaomi on Tuesday announced it would bring  ISRO s Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System NavIC technology to its smartphones. Navigation with Indian Constellation (NavIC) is the regional geo-positioning system designed in the country by the city-headquartered Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) to provide accurate positioning in India and 1500 km around the Indian mainland. The capability has been currently enabled by Qualcomm Technologies Inc on several of their Qualcomm Snapdragon Mobile Platforms and will be made available across multiple Xiaomi smartphones in India, Xiaomi said in a statement. In 2020, several Xiaomi smartphones across multiple price points will support NavIC initially supported by some Snapdragon chipsets. The upcoming  Oppo Reno3 Pro 5G  would come with a curved edged screen with a punch hole in the top left corner. Samsung Galaxy S11 may feature 108MP camera for 8K video recording

South Korean tech giant Samsung is reportedly planning to introduce 8K video recording support to its upcoming smartphone Galaxy S11. A new code in the APK file (the Android app software file) for Samsung's camera app suggests that  Galaxy S11  lineup would support 8K video recording, XDA Developers reported on Sunday. The Exynos 990 chipset, which is expected to power the international variants of the device, features 8K@30fps video decoding/encoding capabilities. Additionally, Qualcomm's upcoming Snapdragon 865 chip, which will power the US variants of the S11, is also expected to have enough horsepower to offer 8K video recording. Dispelling the fear that a slowing economy may affect consumer behaviour, e-commerce majors  Flipkart and Amazon India  have said they witnessed record transactions on their platforms on the first day of their annual festive sale, which started early on Sunday. While home-grown Flipkart, which is now owned by American retail major Walmart, said it registered two times more sales on Day One of its flagship sale event  Big Billion Days  (BBD) over last year, rival Amazon claimed it witnessed the biggest opening day sale ever with a huge surge in participation in smaller towns. According to Amit Agarwal, senior vice-president and country head, Amazon India, the company also saw the single-largest day of Prime sign-ups, with 66 per cent of Prime members shopping in 24 hours coming from tier II and tier III towns.
