Jio Glass for mixed reality experience announced at RIL AGM: Details here



Mukesh Ambani-owned Jio Platforms on Wednesday announced its mixed-reality platform Jio Glass at the Reliance Industries annual general meeting 2020. you could connect the Jio Glass with your smartphone using a cable to access internet and app services. It has a built-in display and audio drivers for immersive mixed-reality content experience. It supports over 25 applications and can be used for 3D meetings and video calls. Moreover, it has built-in collaboration tools for online classes and office meetings.

“Jio Glass is a cutting-edge technology that provides best-in-class mixed reality services to users for a truly meaningful immersive experience,” said Reliance Industries President Kiran Thomas. “With Jio Glass, the traditional way of learning geography will now be history,” Thomas added during a demo of the Jio Glass.

The Jio Glass supports interactive 3D space, holographic content and 2D video conferencing features. It weighs 75 g and supports all audio formats, according to the company.

Apple acquires weather app Dark Sky, to shut down Android version in June

Apple  has acquired popular weather app Dark Sky and will shut down its Android and Wear OS versions in July. However, terms of the deal was not disclosed. According to Dark Sky, service to existing users and subscribers will continue until July 1, at which point the app will be shut down. Subscribers who are still active at that time will receive a refund. The Android app of Dark Sky has been downloaded more than a million times on playstore. "Our goal has always been to provide the world with the best weather information possible, to help as many people as we can stay dry and safe, and to do so in a way that respects your privacy," Dark Sky co-founder Adam Grossman said in a statement on Tuesday. Finance Ministry tells state-run banks to shore up credit to MSMEs

Union Budget 2019 : The finance ministry has told the chief executives of all public sector banks (PSBs) to review credit facilities made available to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and take ‘corrective’ measures to ensure the firms get adequate funds. The finance ministry has told the PSB chief executives in an official communication to assign a chief general manager, or a general manager-level officer to “do an in-depth analysis of the progress made and issues in availability of credit, still being faced by the MSMEs”. While taking “corrective actions” and doing the analysis, nodal general managers are supposed to submit details to the finance ministry of MSMEs taking credit from banks, non-performing MSME accounts, MSME accounts restructured following to the Reserve Bank of India's (RBI's) January scheme and the MSMEs still uncovered by it, among others.
